It’s here! I’ve been excited to share some work I recently did for Washington State Ferries’ campaign “Go Somewhere”. I’ve spent countless hours riding the ferry to & from Vashon, Bainbridge and the San Juans. Being on the ferry is actually one of my favorite things to do in/around Seattle — even though I’ve had my fair share of frustration because I’ve also missed the ferry countless times — as I don’t think there is anywhere else in the country that gets to experience their surroundings like we do.
So naturally, I was beyond excited when I was contacted by Green Rubino (the agency working on the spot) to shoot some photos for their upcoming TV spot and support the cause. The premise of the spot was scrolling quickly through a family’s found camera footage as they ride the ferry and spend a day on the islands. 5,000+ photos to cull, 12+ hours of shooting, and a lot of snacks = one very fun stop motion video. Here are also some outtakes from the day.
You can catch the spot between breaks on the Today Show, Katie, Evening Magazine, and the Tonight Show, or watch it here.
Need lifestyle and/or commercial work? My ears are open! Oh, and GO RIDE THE FERRY. :)
so dope!!
So proud of you, girlfriend! Hope this brings much more work your way!
this is so great!! my grandparents live on Vashon, so I’ve been taken ferries many a time. such a beautiful experience.
Cool post! If you don’t mind, would you email me and tell me how you created that last moving photo? :) Been trying to figure that out but not sure how to google it. -A
