One of my business goals for this first year — get published. Check! SO incredibly excited to be featured in the latest issue of Seattle Met Bride & Groom. A huge thank you to my lovely bride & groom, Kristen and Ben, for making it happen (oh, and having your wedding in a sweet spot!).

• Rainier20Twelve Article •

Something a little different for you all today. Yes, in the midst of all my wedding invitations and photography, I still love a good, solid design assignment. Below is a side project I have been working on for the last couple of weeks with a good friend, Jeff Marsh, about his experience with our beloved Mt. Rainier.

Jeff emailed me a while back and asked if I’d like to contribute some time designing an article he had written about his Ranier20Twelve fundraiser. Basically, Jeff and 4 of his good friends set out to summit Rainier with the goal of raising awareness and funds for the memorial of two fallen rangers — Margaret Anderson and Nick Hall. I had heard about the project prior to their climb, but never knew the extensive background of Jeff’s love of the mountain and how it all came together. From the first sentence of Jeff’s email, I knew I wanted to be part of sharing this great cause, so of course, I jumped on board. It’s an inspiring story with funny experiences and real life mishaps while 5 guys made their way up the mountain raising money and honoring those who lost their lives this past year working at Rainier. In addition to the article, there is a kick-ass documentary you should check out by Jeff as well.

A thank you to Jeff for allowing me to be part of this. I’m honored and excited for people to read this.

• FEATURED // Sunrise Styled Shoot •

When creative people get together, good things happen.

I had an absolute blast thinking up and planning this Fall-inspired engagement photoshoot with some super crafty/creative/fabulous gals, Katelyn Price & Stacy Anderson and our fabulous make-up artist, Jen Price. Stacy recently started her own floral & event design business (and she is killing it) so we wanted to showcase some of her beautiful work as well as take an opportunity to do something that would personally inspire us. With the season finally changing, we took full advantage of our beautiful Pacific Northwest landscape and hiked out to Northbend at sunrise for a lovely little breakfast. A huge thank you to our lovely models, Leanne & Drew, who are just about the cutest and kindest couple on the planet, for getting up at the crack of dawn to join us. Yes, these two ARE ACTUALLY engaged. I know, right? Props to Stacy for the outrageous gorgeous floral arrangements and designing the “set”. And a shout-out to Ms. Kate who is just about the sweetest gal on the planet and extremely talented.

Even cooler was this fabulous shoot was featured on Grey Likes Weddings. Check it out!

• FILM // CHLOE •

A few frames of Ms. Chloe Scheffe. Her and I got to know one another at Tether, and before she took off for RISD in August, we shot around a bit on film.

Do yourself a favor and check out her amazing design & photography work here. She’s brilliant.

• Wed // Jenna + Phil •

A beautiful wedding with two very special people. I’ve known Jenna & Phil for a couple of years, and they never cease to amaze me with their gratitude, kindness, and overall awesome-ness. I loved being a part of their day, and was ecstatic I got to come along and play with some film (see below this post). Shot alongside the fabulous Lindsay Schuette at Lola & Bliss, check out her post for more photos!
